Jeddah:Iraq and Oman played to a 1-1 draw in the opening match of the 27th Gulf Cup, hosted at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as part of Group A.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Iraq took an early lead with a goal by Mohammed Qasim in the sixth minute. Oman responded in the 67th minute with an equalizer from Nasser Al Rawahi.
The match concluded with each team earning one point, marking the beginning of their campaigns in the tournament.
