Director-General of Media and Security Culture Brigadier Mohammed Bin Daina asserted the importance of training, capability-building and modern practices in police media in promoting the modernisation and development strategy launched 20 years back by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for all Interior Ministry’s sector.
He highlighted at the beginning of an intensive training programme launched by the directorate to enhance the skills of its personnel the significance of meeting the development in digital media and knowledge to come out with an active police media mission to achieve the targeted goals.
He said the training programme focuses on media training and production, effectiveness in achieving duties, capability-building and developing media strategies.
The three-day training was presented by media expert Nadia Al Turki and aimed to enhance the media skills of the participants.
The participants learned speech concepts, self-confidence techniques, methods to deal with tensions and ways to deal with different personalities. In addition, they were involved in presentations, time management and body language exercises.
