Manama:The Coast Guard, as part of the Interior Ministry's efforts, organized a joint inspection campaign at diving centers and shops.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this campaign was conducted in cooperation with the Muharraq and Capital Governorates Police, the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
The initiative aimed to verify the commitment of these centers to security and safety standards. Inspectors checked the accreditation certificates for the air quality used in diving cylinders, training and accreditation certificates for trainers and employees, and the validity of commercial registrations. They also reviewed adherence to licensed activities.
Further inspections assessed the operational condition of diving equipment and air cylinders, ensuring regular inspection and maintenance. The availability of first aid and emergency plans was also evaluated to ensure a safe environment for both divers and visitors.
