Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior of Bahrain, welcomed General Nadeem Raza, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, during a meeting aimed at enhancing bilateral security cooperation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, General Raza's visit to Bahrain was in conjunction with his participation in the 21st edition of the IISS Manama Dialogue 2025. This event is a significant international forum that addresses pressing regional and international security, political, and defence issues. During the meeting, General Shaikh Rashid stressed the importance of collaboration and coordination in tackling current security challenges.
General Shaikh Rashid highlighted the IISS Manama Dialogue as a key international event hosted by Bahrain, noted for its high level of organisation and participation, which underscores the Kingdom's esteemed global position. He reiterated Bahrain's dedication to fostering coexistence and a culture of peace, aligning with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The minister also praised the robust relations and strategic partnership between Bahrain and Pakistan, emphasizing their collaborative efforts to bolster regional stability and international security. He acknowledged Pakistan's advanced defence and security systems and their role in reinforcing national security.
The discussions further explored avenues to enhance security cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and Pakistan, aiming to serve mutual interests and contribute to regional peace and stability.
