Manama:General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, held a meeting with Abdallah Al Dardari, United Nations Assistant Secretary General and Director of the Regional Bureau for Arab States of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), at the 22nd IISS Manama Dialogue 2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel, Deputy Minister of Interior, and Lieutenant General Tariq Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police. The Interior Minister welcomed Al Dardari's participation in the dialogue, which serves as a strategic platform for global discussions on security, defense, and foreign policy.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UNDP, particularly in areas of disaster preparedness and civil emergency response. Additionally, the meeting reviewed Bahrain's ongoing efforts to strengthen its crisis and disaster management systems and initiatives aimed at boosting national readiness.
