Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, recently received prominent members of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, including Shaikh Nasser bin Shaikh Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, Deputy President of the Court of Cassation, Shaikh Dr. Mohammed Taher Shaikh Sulaiman Al Madani, Judge at the Court of Cassation, Shaikh Mansoor Ali Hamada, and Mohammed Hadi Al Hallawaji.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was also attended by the Deputy Chief of Police and the Director-General of the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture. During the gathering, the guests expressed their gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his support in facilitating the Ashoora commemoration and acknowledged the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in organizing religious observances and maintaining religious freedoms in Bahrain.
The members of the council praised the Ministry of Interior, under the leadership of General Shaikh Rashid, for implementing security and organizational measures that ensure a safe environment for religious rituals. They highlighted the ministry's role in promoting public awareness and maintaining order, which contributes to social stability and national cohesion.
General Shaikh Rashid expressed appreciation for the council's initiative and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation on security matters to ensure religious rituals are conducted peacefully. He acknowledged the cooperation of community leaders, religious scholars, and participants in adhering to procedures, which set a positive precedent for future events.
The minister concluded the meeting by underscoring the shared responsibility in observing religious rituals according to regulations, while encouraging national responsibility and community awareness to support Bahrain's ongoing development initiatives.
