Information Ministry’s Teams Highlight Bahrain’s Media Excellence Through BAYG Coverage

Manama: Officials and staff from the Ministry of Information affirmed that the distinguished media coverage of the 3rd Asian Youth Games - Bahrain 2025 (BAYG) reflected the extensive efforts made by the Ministry across all its departments to deliver comprehensive coverage that befits the Kingdom of Bahrain's reputation and excellence in hosting major continental and international events.

According to Bahrain News Agency, this success, which received praise from all participating delegations and audiences, was the result of an integrated media vision and strategy in which all the Ministry's teams worked together in the spirit of Team Bahrain to present professional and honourable coverage. This showcased Bahrain's modern and developed image across all levels.

Officials affirmed that the guidance and support of Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, served as a strong motivation towards quality and creativity. The supervision of Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, Undersecretary of the Ministry, played a key role in the success of the media coverage. They noted that the Ministry presented a complete model of coordination, creativity, and professional media production.

They expressed pride in contributing to the coverage of this major continental sporting event, noting that the success achieved reflects the high competence and capabilities of Bahraini media professionals, who demonstrated teamwork, professionalism, and creativity throughout the Games.

Humood Al Jeeb, Head of Bahrain Sports Channel, expressed pride in the achievements of national media during the 3rd Asian Youth Games - Bahrain 2025, reflecting the growth and progress of the media sector in the Kingdom. He noted that Bahrain Sports Channel worked in full coordination with various departments at the Ministry of Information to ensure the best possible coverage of the tournament's competitions.

He explained that the channel's teams worked continuously day and night to deliver coverage that matched the latest international standards in sports and television broadcasting. The coverage included live broadcasting of matches, promotional segments, and the "Layali Asia" (Asian Nights) programme, which accompanied the tournament's activities and celebrated the achievements of the participating teams and organisers.

Hamad Mohammed Ramadhan, Head of the Special Coverage Department, said that the department utilised all available resources to ensure the success of the coverage. Aerial filming was carried out for all sports venues hosting the competitions, production teams were formed to prepare creative segments, and technical supervision was provided for the preparation of the "Layali Asia" studio, which presented a distinctive visual image of the tournament.

Isa Sharida, producer and presenter at Bahrain Sports Channel, said that the Sports Media Directorate oversaw the daily coverage in cooperation with the Television Directorate, through field correspondents and programmes such as "Sabah Al Bahrain" and "Layali Asia". These programmes offered comprehensive reports on results and daily achievements and provided a complete picture of the event to viewers.

In the digital field, Hussain Abdulaal, Acting Head of the Creative Department, said that the Ministry developed a comprehensive plan to manage all the tournament's social media accounts under the directives of the Minister of Information, focusing on unifying media messages and highlighting the Kingdom's identity throughout the Games.

He added that the Ministry contracted Flare Media, which included more than 70 Bahraini professionals specialised in filming, design, editing, and content management. He pointed out that the digital coverage achieved more than 100 million views across different platforms, reflecting wide audience engagement and success in delivering Bahrain's message to the world.

Ziyad Isa Al Shaiji, Digital Content Administrator at Bahrain News Agency (BNA), said that BNA created a dedicated webpage for the tournament on its official website to publish all related news and activities since the start of the Games. He added that BNA provided continuous and detailed coverage, publishing reports and updates across its digital platforms, which helped highlight Bahrain's civilised image and enhance its regional and international media presence.

Hajer Abdullah Buchiri, Motion Graphics Specialist, added that she participated in the visual preparations for the tournament by designing graphic templates and implementing the official visual identity across Bahrain TV screens. She also supported the design team in producing visual materials. She noted that time constraints were the biggest challenge, but teamwork and coordination ensured that all content was delivered on schedule and with the highest quality standards.
