Manama: Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, the Minister of Information, engaged in discussions with Maria Cohn, TikTok Global's Deputy Director of Government Relations and Public Policy for the METAPSA region, and Jenan Al Hashli, Head of Public Policy for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries at TikTok. The meeting focused on exploring avenues for cooperation in the realm of digital content.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Noaimi emphasized the ministry's commitment to enhancing collaboration with leading global social media platforms, including TikTok, to bolster the growth of Bahrain's digital media sector. He highlighted the ministry's ongoing efforts to empower national talent, enhance their expertise, and encourage the adoption of international best practices in creating purposeful and creative digital content.
The Information Minister further elaborated that partnerships with international platforms are crucial for fostering a creative environment that can showcase the potential of Bahrain's youth, enabling them to compete on regional and global stages. These initiatives, he asserted, align with the Kingdom's vision to position itself as a regional hub for digital and creative industries.
Maria Cohn and Jenan Al Hashli, representing TikTok, conveyed the platform's interest in collaborating with the Ministry of Information on training, knowledge exchange, and digital skills development.
