Al raffah: Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, highlighted the significance of equestrian sports and horse racing as a heritage deeply embedded in the Kingdom of Bahrain's national identity. This tradition has been nurtured over generations and is supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The minister made these remarks while crowning the winner of the National Day Cup for the sixth race, an event held under the patronage of the Ministry of Information as part of the National Day Festival at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Al Raffah.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Noaimi emphasized that the festival's alignment with Bahrain's National Day celebrations and the 26th anniversary of His Majesty's accession to the throne underscores the strong ties between the country's national occasions and its traditional sporting heritage. The minister acknowledged the efforts of the REHC, led by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court and Chairman of the High Committee of the club, in advancing the sport, enhancing competition standards, and bolstering Bahrain's presence in regional and international horse racing.
Dr. Al Noaimi praised the organization of the race and the level of competition, noting that it reflects the progress made in Bahraini equestrian sports. The National Day Cup was awarded to the horse Cracksking of Al Adiyat Stable, which claimed first place in the sixth race.
