iGA, Government Hospitals discuss health tech requirements

Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed received Government Hospitals Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ahmed Al Ansari and Primary Health Care Centers Chief Executive Officer Dr. Jalila Al-Sayed at his office at the iGA’s Isa Town headquarters. They discussed prospects for continued cooperation and the hospitals’ and centers technology and systems requirements.

 

Al Qaed thanked Dr. Al Ansari and Dr. Al-Sayed and all doctors, nurses, and support teams for their continuous efforts in treating patients and providing them with high quality healthcare solutions, especially during the exceptional circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic. He commended them for their efforts which helped the Kingdom overcome these challenges.

 

The meeting covered a number of topics such as the importance of keeping up to date health data and statistics, and the ongoing cooperation between the iGA and the health sector in this area. They also discussed the Kingdom’s rapid digital transformation and its increasing deployment of advanced technologies in a range of fields, including healthcare, and the role that technology played in supporting frontline workers during the pandemic.

 

Al Qaed said the iGA remains committed to implementing the Government’s directives, seeking to present innovative solutions to public sector entities, with the goal to enhance government services offered to citizens and residents, and support their digital transformation plans, noting the Authority commitment in providing the technical support needed anytime to the government hospitals & centers.
