Hamburg: German police said icy conditions caused significant traffic disruption on the K¶hlbrand Bridge in the city of Hamburg on Friday, leaving dozens of cars and lorries stranded.
According to Bahrain News Agency, a police spokesperson stated that vehicles were unable to ascend the bridge due to winter road conditions. One lorry skidded and came to rest at the side of the bridge. Police counted between 30 and 40 lorries on the bridge at the height of the disruption, with higher numbers reported earlier.
Traffic resumed only after winter service crews cleared the ice. Police confirmed that no injuries or damage were reported.
