HRH the Deputy King Engages with Malaysian Ambassador to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Gudaibiya: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Deputy King, today welcomed His Excellency Dato' Shazryll Zahiran, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting underscored the enduring and close bilateral relations between Bahrain and Malaysia.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized the significance of Malaysia hosting the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, a decision supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia. This event reflects the strong ties and collaboration between the two nations.

HRH the Deputy King expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia for his blessing in hosting the prestigious race in Malaysia. He also conveyed his thanks to His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, for his support and cooperation in facilitating the event.

Furthermore, His Royal Highness acknowledged the efforts of the Formula 1 organization, the F©d©ration Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), Bahrain International Circuit, Sepang International Circuit, and the participating teams in ensuring the successful transition and execution of the race.

The meeting also served as a platform to discuss regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad stressed the importance of continuing to build on this cooperation to further expand opportunities that advance the mutual interests of both countries.
