Riffa: The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met with a European Parliament delegation led by His Excellency Reinhold Lopatka MEP, Chair of the European Parliament's Delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula, at Riffa Palace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the European Union (EU), aligning with the vision and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to advance progress and prosperity for both Bahrain and the EU. The meeting underscored the depth of Bahrain-EU relations across multiple sectors, contributing to enhanced bilateral cooperation and strategic partnerships.
The discussions focused on Bahrain-EU relations and explored ways to deepen cooperation and coordination to achieve shared goals. His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of bolstering economic, trade, and investment ties between Bahrain and the EU, leveraging existing agreements, memoranda of understanding, and strategic partnerships to drive sustainable growth.
The Deputy King also highlighted the critical role of the EU and its allies in maintaining regional security and stability. The meeting addressed issues of mutual interest and reviewed the latest regional and international developments.
The event was attended by His Excellency Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, and several senior officials.
