Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, held a meeting with senior U.S. delegates participating in the IISS Manama Dialogue 2025. The U.S. delegation included Doug Burgum, U.S. Secretary of the Interior, Tulsi Gabbard, U.S. Director of National Intelligence, and Admiral Charles Bradford Cooper II, Commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized the historic nature of Bahrain-U.S. relations. These relations are supported by strong collaboration across sectors, strategic partnerships, and agreements, such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the mutual dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in military and defense sectors. He also underscored the significance of the United States' role in maintaining international security and stability and its contribution to regional and global sustainable development.
The meeting included discussions on the latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest raised during the forum. Attending the meeting were His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, and several senior officials.
