Riffa: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Colonel Dr. Manaf Al Qahtani, who has been newly appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control. The meeting took place at the Secretariat General of the Gulf Health Council, located at Riffa Palace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended his congratulations to Colonel Dr. Al Qahtani on his recent appointment and wished him success in his responsibilities. He highlighted the critical role of the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control in enhancing GCC coordination in public health and disease prevention, as well as in fortifying joint medical research, policies, and programs.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also emphasized the progress of Bahrain's healthcare sector, attributing it to the talent of its healthcare professionals, whose expertise has been acknowledged both internationally and regionally.
Colonel Dr. Al Qahtani expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness for the consistent support towards national talents in all fields. He acknowledged HRH's efforts in creating quality opportunities that aid in achieving the Kingdom's objectives.
The meeting was also attended by HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.
