Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting underscored the importance of the recent 46th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit which was hosted by Bahrain and chaired by His Majesty the King.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet emphasized the GCC's role in maintaining unity and cohesion among member states, highlighting the summit's significance in reinforcing this solidarity. Additionally, the Cabinet extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on McLaren's recent victories in the Formula 1 World Drivers' Championship and the Constructors' Championship, marking a historic achievement after 27 years.
The Cabinet also praised the outcomes of the fourth meeting of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council, co-chaired by HRH Prince Salman and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia. This meeting was noted for its significant announcements that aim to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two nations. Furthermore, the visit of HE Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, was acknowledged for its role in signing key agreements that strengthen bilateral ties.
As part of its commitment to employment, the Cabinet followed up on HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's directives to provide job opportunities for registered Bahraini job seekers. The Ministry of Labour was recognized for its success in creating over 3,600 jobs out of more than 9,000 job seekers. The private sector's role in facilitating these opportunities was also appreciated.
The Cabinet commended the organization of the IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain 2025, recognizing HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa's efforts in elevating Bahrain's international sporting profile. Additionally, accolades were extended to the Ministry of Interior personnel on Bahrain Police Day and to several ministries for their achievements in the Arab Government Excellence Award 2025.
The Cabinet celebrated Manama's recognition as the World's Leading Business Travel Destination at the World Travel Awards Grand Final 2025, highlighting Exhibition World Bahrain's four prestigious awards. These accolades underscore Bahrain's growing status as a hub for exhibitions and conferences in the region. The Cabinet lauded the exceptional organization of the awards ceremony, which took place at Exhibition World Bahrain.
