HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Chairs Cabinet Meeting to Address National Security and Economic Measures

Gudaibiya: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting focused on national security, economic measures, and international relations.According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet commended the roles of the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard, the Ministry of Interior, and other agencies in safeguarding the Kingdom and its citizens. The Cabinet condemned recent hostile acts by Iran that resulted in injuries and damage to property, urging adherence to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, which calls for an immediate halt to attacks targeting civilian infrastructure.The Cabinet discussed the implementation of directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and orders from His Royal Highness to provide compensation to citizens affected by the Iranian aggression. Prince Salman tasked the Ministerial Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs and Fiscal Balance w ith assessing the aggression's economic impact and recommending measures to support employment and growth.In addition to security matters, the Cabinet reviewed the efficiency of public services and tasked officials with ensuring continuous and improved service delivery. In recognition of World Health Day, the Cabinet praised the commitment of medical professionals in the Kingdom.The Cabinet extended congratulations to the newly elected Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, acknowledging the achievements of the previous board. The meeting also approved several memorandums, including cooperation agreements with international and local institutions and responses to proposals from the Council of Representatives.Finally, the Cabinet was briefed on the outcomes of Bahrain's participation in the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.
