HRH Crown Prince Delegates HH Shaikh Nasser for IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship Closing Ceremony

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, delegated His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to attend the closing ceremony of the IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain 2025. This special edition of the championship emphasized Bahrain's status on the global sports map. According to Bahrain News Agency, the closing ceremony was attended by several senior officials. His Highness Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the success of this year's edition is a continuation of Bahrain's achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He emphasized that the championship aligns with Bahrain's vision of becoming a preferred destination for international championships. His Highness noted the large turnout of competitors from around the world as evidence of growing international confidence in Bahrain's organizational capabilities and the investment in sport as a sector contr ibuting to comprehensive development. The success of this edition adds to Bahrain's history of hosting major sporting events, strengthening its position as a platform for innovation and sporting excellence. His Highness expressed pride in Team Bahrain Victorious for winning in the men's and women's professional categories, highlighting the team's advanced level and ability to achieve results in major competitions. At the ceremony's conclusion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser honored supporting entities and partners for their role in the championship's success, presenting trophies to winners in various categories. The championship featured wide participation from global professionals and amateurs, including a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km cycling race, and a 21.1 km run, along with an IRONKIDS event. Team Bahrain Victorious excelled, with Vincent Luis winning the men's professional category and Georgia Taylor-Brown claiming the women's title. Other notable winners included Hamad Al Khaldi in the Gulf men's category and M ohammed Al Ghais in the Bahraini men's category.
