Riffa: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Professor Marike Paulsson, Secretary General for the Council for International Dispute Resolution of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Riffa Palace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the meeting, His Royal Highness was presented with a book from Professor Paulsson that traces the development of Bahrain's legal framework and documents key milestones in advancing justice. The book highlights measures taken by the Kingdom to strengthen the rule of law, uphold justice, and protect rights and freedoms, in line with comprehensive development goals.
His Royal Highness emphasized Bahrain's legislative and judicial framework, which aligns with evolving needs and reflects the vision and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He praised the outcomes following the King Hamad Lecture for Neutral Justice, noting the strengthening of efforts to advance the commercial justice system both regionally and internationally.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted that the outcomes of these initiatives further the development of Bahrain's commercial justice ecosystem, bolster legal partnerships with countries and international institutions, and contribute to encouraging trade, investment, and economic growth.
His Royal Highness affirmed that the Bahrain International Commercial Court exemplifies the Kingdom's advanced legislative system, playing a pivotal role in supporting Bahrain's commercial and investment environment by resolving commercial disputes in accordance with international best practices.
Professor Paulsson expressed appreciation for His Royal Highness' support for initiatives enhancing Bahrain's status as a regional hub for commercial justice and global legal cooperation. The meeting was also attended by HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.
