HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Chairs Cabinet Meeting Focused on Regional Cooperation and National Development

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The Cabinet highlighted the positive outcomes from the meeting between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt, emphasizing the enduring bilateral ties and the commitment to ongoing regional cooperation.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet expressed enthusiasm for Malaysia hosting the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in October 2026. This decision was supported by His Majesty the King and Malaysia's Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, symbolizing the strong bilateral relations.

In recognition of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the Cabinet stressed the importance of national efforts in combating human trafficking, acknowledging the Ministry of Interior and relevant authorities for their work in this area. The Cabinet reviewed and approved several memorandums, including reports on education and vocational sector performance in the 2025-2026 academic year, Bahrain's economic report for the first quarter of 2026, and the Future Generations Reserve Fund's annual report.

Furthermore, the Cabinet examined the performance of government entities through the "Sijilat", "Tawasul", and "Benayat" systems for the first half of 2026, compared to the same period in 2025. Reports on the Minister of Interior's visit to Syria, Bahrain's participation in the UN General Assembly's High-Level Meeting, and various international ministerial visits to Bahrain were also discussed.
