Manama: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Association of Engineering Offices-Bahrain (AEO) aimed at strengthening cooperation, supporting housing initiatives, and promoting the exchange of expertise. This agreement is set to enhance the quality of housing services and increase the involvement of Bahraini engineering offices in national housing projects.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the MoU was formalized during the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition. Fatima Ibrahim Al Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, highlighted the significance of fostering collaboration between the Ministry and the private sector, particularly with engineering offices that are instrumental in advancing housing services and project development. She acknowledged the notable contributions of Bahraini engineering offices to the Kingdom’s broader development efforts.
Al Mannai further explained that the MoU aims to deliver engineering services of the highest standards to citizens benefiting from housing support. It is also intended to enhance the role of local engineering offices in projects undertaken by the Ministry.
Faek Jumaa Mandil, Chairman of AEO-Bahrain, expressed the importance of strengthening public-private partnerships and maintaining close coordination to achieve shared objectives. He commended the Ministry’s commitment to delivering housing services to citizens and involving the engineering sector in developmental projects.
