Housing Ministry Reports Over 3,660 Visits to Muharraq City Development Page


Muharraq: The Housing and Urban Planning Ministry announced that the Muharraq City Development Project page has received over 3,660 visits since its launch, with more than 1,520 property inquiries submitted since May. This reflects ongoing efforts to enhance digital services and support digital transformation.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry emphasized its commitment to preserving Bahrain’s historical and cultural identity, including the revitalization of Isa Al Kabeer Palace and the development of Muharraq while maintaining its heritage. The website provides project updates, news, and notifications on traffic diversions.



The page offers answers to frequently asked questions, including project objectives, implementation plans, and property acquisition procedures. It also outlines the expropriation and compensation process, from decision issuance to valuation and disbursement.



The development plan focuses on preserving Muharraq’s identity, expanding housing, restoring heritage buildings, increasing green spaces, and improving infrastructure. Covering 1.4 million square meters, it includes the restoration of 16 heritage buildings, 72 green spaces with 100,000 trees, 48 km of pedestrian pathways, and additional parking.
