Manama:Exhibition World Bahrain: Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, visited the Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector 2026, which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Eskan Bank, in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as part of the fourth GCC Housing Week. During the visit, the Housing Minister was briefed on housing projects, financing solutions, and services offered by participating banks, real estate companies, and other exhibitors aimed at providing citizens with more housing options.
The summit serves as a platform for exchanging expertise and reviewing experiences that contribute to the development of the housing sector. Minister Al Rumaihi emphasized the importance of the participation of banks and real estate companies in enhancing integration between financing options and housing projects, thereby expanding the choices available to citizens.
Minister Al Rumaihi highlighted the Ministry's ongoing partnerships with the private sector as crucial to increasing the supply of projects that meet the needs of beneficiaries of housing financing programs. She stressed the significance of innovation in all stages of housing project development, including planning, design, construction methods, and financing solutions, to improve housing quality and promote sustainability.
The exhibition also featured housing sector entities, experts, specialists, financial institutions, and real estate developers, offering opportunities to exchange knowledge and expertise to support the development of the social housing system and meet housing needs.
