HM King Visits Gadeha Junior Camp to Support Youth Development

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, made a significant visit to the Gadeha 'Up to the Challenge' Junior Training Camp. Accompanying him was His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the camp is organized under the directives of Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, with supervision from Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Operations. It is a collaborative effort between the Royal Guard and Studio Master, designed to offer young participants a comprehensive training experience that combines physical and educational challenges with essential life skills.

Upon His Majesty's arrival, he was welcomed by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad. During the visit, HM the King observed various training exercises, programmes, activities, and experiences offered to the young attendees. These activities aim to develop personal skills, instill values of commitment and discipline, enhance self-confidence, foster national belonging and teamwork, and promote responsibility and character development.

HM the King was briefed by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad on the camp's objectives, the number of young participants across different age groups, and the positive feedback from parents regarding the camp and its goals. His Majesty commended the camp's success in its inaugural edition, noting its diverse training programmes and the enthusiastic participation and engagement of the young attendees.

The King highlighted the camp's role in enhancing participants' physical and mental capabilities, building their character, fostering national identity, and equipping them with the necessary skills to assume responsibility, demonstrate leadership, and face challenges. He also praised the commitment and discipline shown by the participants and their proficiency in completing the training exercises.

His Majesty acknowledged the efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad in establishing the camp, emphasizing the initiative's reflection of His Highness's dedication to youth development and launching programmes that benefit their character and skills. HM the King also expressed appreciation for HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad's contributions, the organisers, trainers, and supporting entities involved in the camp's success.

The King expressed pride in the pivotal role of youth in Bahrain's development and their contributions to enhancing the Kingdom's international standing. He stated that youth are the future innovators, and investing in their potential is crucial for national development and societal progress. His Majesty wished Bahrain's youth continued success in achieving their aspirations and serving their country and community.

At the conclusion of the visit, HM the King received a commemorative gift from Ahmed Al Shaikh, Chairman of the camp's Organising Committee and Director of the Media Office of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad.
