Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to His Holiness Pope Robert Prevost, known as Leo XIV, on his election as the new Supreme Pontiff. His Majesty expressed his wishes for the Pope’s success in his duties.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty commended the Vatican’s significant role in promoting interfaith and intercultural dialogue. The King highlighted the Vatican’s efforts in advancing human fraternity and tolerance, as well as fostering coexistence among people of diverse backgrounds.
His Majesty also emphasized the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening its historical ties with the Vatican. This commitment is aimed at supporting love, harmony, peace, and global stability, reflecting the Kingdom’s dedication to these universal values.
