Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has ratified and issued Law (36) of 2026, which approves the Kingdom of Bahrain's accession to the annex of the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (CRS - MCAA). This ratification follows the approval of the law by both the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Prime Minister and relevant ministers are tasked with implementing the provisions of this new law. The law is set to come into effect on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette. This move signifies Bahrain's commitment to enhancing transparency and cooperation in the exchange of financial information on a global scale.
