HM King Ratifies and Issues Law (43) of 2025 on Anti-Corruption Cooperation

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has ratified and issued Law (43) of 2025, which approves the Makkah Al Mukarramah Convention of the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Cooperation. This decision follows the approval by both the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Kingdom of Bahrain officially signed the Makkah Convention on November 27, 2024. The law aims to enhance cooperation among member states of the OIC in combating corruption and enforcing anti-corruption laws.

The Prime Minister and ministers are tasked with implementing the provisions of this law. It is set to come into effect on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
