Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree-Law (42) of 2026, promulgating the Railway Regulation Law. This move comes based on a proposal by the Prime Minister and has received the approval of the Cabinet.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the law mandates that the accompanying Railway Regulation Law will be applied without affecting relevant international agreements, treaties, and protocols currently in force in Bahrain. Additionally, the minister in charge of transportation affairs is tasked with issuing the necessary executive regulations and decisions to implement the law within a year of its activation.
The implementation of the law falls under the responsibilities of the Prime Minister and relevant ministers, each within their jurisdiction. The law is scheduled to come into effect the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
