Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, attended the conclusion of the national virtual exercise “Azm Al Watan 1” at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Defence Council. The exercise was led by the Royal Guard of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, followed the exercise via video conference. Upon arrival, His Majesty the King was received by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF; Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard, Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council and Director of the Exercise; and Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of Royal Guard Special Operations.
Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad briefed His Majesty the King on the exercise, noting its role in enhancing national readiness. His Highness expressed gratitude for HM the King’s continuous support, which has contributed to the sustained development of all sectors in the Kingdom.
During a video conference call with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Majesty expressed thanks for the efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness, in ensuring the success of this important national exercise. This was achieved through HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives and continuous follow-up with the ministries and other government institutions participating in the exercise.
HM the King later held a remote meeting with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and senior officials involved in the exercise, where he was briefed on the efforts undertaken to ensure its success. His Majesty thanked the participants for their dedication in completing the national exercise successfully.
His Majesty commended the high level of performance and precise coordination during the exercise, noting that they reflected a strong sense of national responsibility and readiness to respond to various circumstances. He emphasized that unity of purpose is the Kingdom’s foremost strength, highlighting the importance of building on the lessons learned to enhance national readiness and reinforce teamwork across all sectors.
HM the King expressed thanks to all participants for their sincere efforts and dedication, expressing pride in their commitment and wishing them continued success in advancing development and safeguarding national achievements. He further appreciated Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and all members of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Defence Council and the Royal Guard for their professional service in ensuring the nation’s security and stability.
