HM King and Egyptian President Discuss Regional Security Amid Iranian Attacks

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a telephone call from His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Arab Republic of Egypt stated that President El Sisi emphasised Egypt's position rejecting the Iranian attacks against the Kingdom of Bahrain. The President affirmed Egypt's full solidarity with the Kingdom and all Gulf states in facing current challenges, and expressed Egypt's readiness to provide necessary support to maintain the security and stability of the region.

President El Sisi also highlighted Egypt's ongoing efforts at international and regional levels to stop the war swiftly. He commended Bahrain's role in supporting calm and safeguarding regional stability. The official spokesperson added that His Majesty the King expressed his deep appreciation to President El Sisi for his steadfast support of Bahrain and the Gulf states. His Majesty affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to continuous coordination with Egypt and other Arab countries to prevent further escalation and work towards a swift resolution of the conflict.

The spokesperson also noted that President El Sisi emphasised the interconnectedness of Gulf security and Egyptian national security, asserting that Arab countries share a common destiny. The President called for strengthened cooperation and joint action to address current challenges and to advance collective Arab national security, ensuring protection from external aggressions.
