Higher Education Council Showcases Bahrain’s Achievements at Going Global 2025 in UK

London: Dr. Diana Abdulkarim Al Jahromi, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, participated in the Going Global 2025 organised by the British Council in the United Kingdom, with the participation of more than 500 decision-makers and academic experts from around 50 countries.

According to Bahrain News Agency, during the conference, Al Jahromi highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain's achievements in developing the higher education sector, particularly in cross-border education. This initiative expands learning opportunities for students and supports Bahrain's drive to internationalise education, aiming to enhance the sector's regional and global standing.

She emphasised the role of the Higher Education Council in promoting cross-border education as a strategic tool to improve academic quality, diversify academic programmes, and reinforce Bahrain's position as a regional hub for higher education.

Al Jahromi also noted the opening of several international university branches in Bahrain. She mentioned the introduction of modern academic programmes aligned with national development priorities and labour market needs, including fields like artificial intelligence, financial technology, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things, entrepreneurship, and other emerging disciplines.
