Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, chaired the fourth meeting of the Security Committee for 2026. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, Deputy Governor, and Colonel Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Deputy Director General of the Southern Governorate Police.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali emphasised the role of the Governorate's Security Committee in implementing the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. The committee aims to follow up and meet residents' needs to enhance security and stability across the governorate. His Highness also noted the importance of promoting safety and security within the community.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali was briefed on the most prominent security efforts undertaken by the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, which meet residents' security needs and contribute to enhancing safety and security in the governorate. His Highness stressed the need to maintain security readiness and ensure a rapid response to incoming reports.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali was also briefed on the efforts of the General Directorate of Civil Defence in dealing with the repercussions of the Iranian attacks on facilities and infrastructure. The dedication of Civil Defence personnel in protecting lives and property during the recent period was highlighted. His Highness commended their high level of preparedness and rapid response in carrying out their national duty, including their active role in cooperation and joint coordination across the governorate.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali expressed sincere wishes for the continued security and stability of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its leadership. He commended the dedicated efforts made in service of the nation, which are central to advancing development and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty the King.
