Sakhir: The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) held the 11th race of the 2025-2026 season at its racecourse in Al Raffa, Sakhir. The event was graced by the presence of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, marking a significant occasion in the racing calendar.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the eight-round race attracted numerous dignitaries, senior officials, and representatives of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the official sponsor of the event. The race drew a large public turnout, concluding the racing activities of 2025 with a competitive atmosphere and entertainment activities that are characteristic of the REHC's racing evenings.
In the course of the event, the winners of the Alba Cups were announced. Khalid Amr Al Rumaihi, Chairman of Alba, presented the first-round trophy to jockey Ebrahim Nader. Subsequent rounds saw trophies awarded to owner Khalid Al Hermes, HH Shaikh Nader bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Mahdi Salah Mahdi, and owner Ebrahim Al Afoo for their respective victories.
Ali Al Baqali, Chief Executive Officer of Alba, awarded trophies to the sixth-round winner Sayed Jawad Sayed Marzooq, the seventh-round winner jockey Hasan Mefrih Al Ajmi, and the eighth-round winner Zaid Al Jasmi. The event highlighted strong competition across all rounds, showcasing the high level of performance among the participating horses and jockeys.
