Manama: Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, received Allison Hooker, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States of America, and her accompanying delegation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, and Stephanie Hallett, Ambassador of the US to the Kingdom of Bahrain. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasized Bahrain's commitment to strengthen its strategic partnership with the US, noting that the existing cooperation between the two countries is crucial to supporting regional security and stability.
The discussions included a review of the longstanding relations between Bahrain and the US within the framework of their strategic partnership and joint agreements, such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA). Both parties explored ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination to serve mutual interests and contribute to regional security and stability.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest. They underlined the importance of continuing cooperation to address current challenges and support efforts to consolidate security and peace in the region.
