Manama:Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, held a meeting with Qasim Hassan Al-Aboudi, National Security Advisor of Iraq, during the 22nd IISS Manama Dialogue 2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor, and Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad welcomed the Iraqi official and emphasized the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Iraq, expressing a commitment to further strengthening cooperation and joint coordination in various fields to achieve their shared goals. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in security and strategic areas, alongside addressing issues of mutual interest. Both parties highlighted the importance of reinforcing regional and international security and stability, ensuring the security of vital waterways, and protecting freedom of navigation to promote regional and global development and prosperity.
