HH Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Leads Royal Endurance Team at Samorin International Endurance Race

Samorin: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, attended the veterinary inspection for the Samorin International Endurance Race in Slovakia. His Highness observed the inspection procedures and the readiness of the participating horses.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness will compete in the 160km Samorin International Endurance Race. Her Highness Shaikha Sheema bint Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will compete in the 100km International Race, while His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will participate in the 120km International Open Race and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will compete in the 120km International Junior and Youth Race.

His Highness also led the Royal Endurance Team's final training session ahead of the race, with the participation of his children. His Highness said participation in the Samorin International Endurance Race represents an important stage in the team's preparations for upcoming competitions. His Highness noted that European events provide valuable opportunities for riders and horses to gain experience and compete at the highest level, enhancing their technical and physical readiness, particularly for the World Endurance Championship.

His Highness added that the Royal Endurance Team continues to implement its preparation programme for young riders through a structured plan aimed at achieving the highest levels of readiness and meeting the qualification requirements for the 2027 FEI World Endurance Championship for Young Riders and Juniors, which will be held in Samorin. His Highness noted that the event will also provide riders with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Samorin course, which hosted the 2016 World Endurance Championship, and wished all Bahraini riders success in delivering performances that reflect the Kingdom's distinguished standing in international endurance racing.

The participation of His Highness's children marks their first appearance in an international endurance race outside the Kingdom of Bahrain following a period of preparation and training. The Royal Endurance Team will compete across various categories and distances as part of its preparations to meet qualification requirements, enhance the readiness of riders and horses, and achieve the best possible results on the international stage.
