Riffa: His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa today chaired a meeting to review the latest developments on the National Afforestation Plan and the Bahrain Mangroves initiative at Riffa Palace. His Highness highlighted the importance of implementing plans that support environmental conservation and sustainability efforts to achieve the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness affirmed Bahrain's commitment to sustainable development, ensuring that progress incorporates environmental conservation. He was briefed on the progress made by the National Afforestation Plan and the Bahrain Mangroves initiative and expressed appreciation for the efforts of various teams and relevant authorities. He noted the importance of teamwork in achieving further success in preserving the Kingdom's environment and ensuring the sustainability of its resources.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman emphasised that the Kingdom's environmental projects and sustainable initiatives reflect its commitment to international climate change efforts, fulfilling Bahrain's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. His Highness highlighted the importance of community partnerships and enhancing environmental awareness to achieve environmental goals and ensure the success of national efforts to conserve natural resources.
