Al raffah: In the presence of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) High Committee, the 27th race of the 2025/2026 racing season was held at the club’s racecourse in Al Raffah, Sakhir.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the race featured the cups of Al Rouda, Grnata, Empire Limo, and Bahrain Airport Services (BAS). Winners were crowned as His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa received the BAS Mile Cup from Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BAS, following the victory of ‘Gloriously Sassy’ from Al Adiyat Racing, which secured first place in the fourth round.
His Highness Shaikh Nader bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa received the BAS Sprint Cup from Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, as well as the seventh round trophy from Hasan Al Meshaima, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grnata Real Estate Group, who also presented the second round trophy to Abdulla Khalid Hilal Al Khatri.
Shaikh Hasan bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief Regulatory Officer at REHC, presented the eighth round trophy to the winning trainer, Daniel Kubler. Meanwhile, Mohammed Najibi, CEO of Empire Limo, presented the third round trophy to the winning trainer, Adel Abdulla, and Mohammed Amir Ebrahim, General Manager of Empire Limo, presented the sixth round trophy to Khalid Al Hermes.
Louise Warton, Head of Arabian Stables, presented the first round trophy to Abdulla Fawzi Nass. The race featured strong competition, with horses from several stables securing victories across the ten rounds.
