This declaration honors His Highness Isa Al Kabeer, the founder of the modern state and a pivotal figure in Bahrain's modern institutional history, who served as the Ruler of Bahrain and its Dependencies.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness emphasized that the designation serves to commemorate Isa Al Kabeer's lasting legacy in establishing stability and a wide array of legal and civil institutions throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain. This Royal Order is seen as a testament to His Majesty the King's dedication to preserving the nation's history and immortalizing the figures who contributed significantly to Bahrain's development by solidifying its foundations and enhancing its stability over the years.
His Highness further remarked on Isa Al Kabeer's rich legacy and extensive record of accomplishments that bolstered Bahrain's political, economic, and cultural standing. Additionally, the Minister lauded the various economic, cultural, and public service projects underway in Muharraq, where Isa Al Kabeer ruled during his time. Particular attention was drawn to initiatives aimed at enhancing awareness of Bahrain's history, including efforts to preserve the historical and cultural identity of the Kingdom's buildings and cities, alongside plans to restore Isa Al Kabeer Palace and develop Muharraq.
