Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) for the 3rd Asian Youth Games (BAYG), attended the flag-raising ceremony of the Kingdom of Bahrain, held at the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event marked the Kingdom's participation in the Games and symbolised the official start of festivities ahead of the opening ceremony, a long-standing Olympic tradition that celebrates all participating nations.
Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority (GSA), Yousif Duaij, Chairman of the Executive Committee for the BAYG, and Ahmed Abdulghaffar, Head of Bahrain's delegation to the BAYG, attended the ceremony.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali raised Bahrain's national flag, while Dr. Abdulrahman Askar raised the flag of the GSA. Ahmed Abdulghafar raised the flags of the BOC and the Olympic Council of Asia, and Yousif Duij raised the flag of the 3rd Asian Youth Games.
The event concluded with Bahrain's national anthem in an atmosphere that reflected pride and unity. The Bahraini delegation presented an image of professionalism and national spirit, with their coordinated appearance and organisation.
