Sakhir: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC), attended the final race of the 2025/2026 horseracing season at the Club's racecourse in Al Raffah, Sakhir. The event marked the culmination of the season and attracted a number of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, alongside a large crowd of equestrian sports enthusiasts.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Sultan Al Deen bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa was crowned winner of the Bahrain Gold Cup, an accolade presented by Yaser Sharifi, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait. In another highlight, Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received the Stewards Cup from Paul Barton, Chief Steward.
Juzer Taher, Managing Director of LuLu Hypermarket, awarded the Owners Cup to Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim. Additionally, Basema Al Mahroos, Chief Executive Officer of Bapco Tazweed, presented the Champions Sprint Cup to Hussain Ebrahim Al Afoo. Khaled Hussain Taqi, and Ahmed Abdulghani, both members of the High Committee of REHC, presented trophies for the first and second rounds to Yousif Taher and Hadi Ebrahim Al Afoo, respectively.
Kamal Murad, another member of the High Committee of REHC, presented the seventh round trophy to Allan Smith. Yusuf Osama Buheji, Acting Chief Executive Officer of REHC, awarded the ninth round trophy to trainer Paul Smith. Abdulrahman Bukhamas, Director of Studbook at REHC, presented the eighth round trophy to a representative of Al Mohamediya Racing. The final race showcased strong competition, highlighting the growing standard of horseracing in Bahrain as horses from various stables achieved victories.
