Health Ministry Hosts Awareness Event for #10KSA Initiative Anniversary

Manama: The Health Ministry organized an interactive awareness event at the Public Health Directorate, marking the tenth anniversary of the 2025 #10KSA initiative. This event is part of the ministry's continuous efforts to enhance health awareness and foster a culture of prevention. The initiative encourages individuals to embrace healthy lifestyles, undergo regular medical check-ups, and motivate their families and communities to participate in preventive screenings. Emphasizing the importance of prevention and early diagnosis, the initiative aims to reduce cancer incidence and mortality rates.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the program featured an interactive lecture conducted by the Health Promotion Directorate and the Chronic Disease Clinics. The lecture offered the latest scientific insights into cancer prevention, early detection, and the significance of healthy lifestyle choices in mitigating risk factors.

The event also promoted community engagement for an upcoming activity on December 8, where participants will form a lavender ribbon, the international symbol for awareness of all cancer types. This activity seeks to disseminate the initiative's messages and encourage broader public involvement.

The ministry concluded the event by reaffirming its dedication to supporting both national and regional efforts to promote community health. It emphasized enhancing partnerships with relevant organizations, reducing chronic disease risks, and advancing toward achieving sustainable health goals.
