Manama: Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, received a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Public Health Authority "Weqaya", headed by Dr. Saeed Mahdi Al Qarni, Executive Director of Vector-Borne and Environmental Diseases. The Health Minister emphasised the importance of enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise in combating vector-borne diseases, as well as supporting national efforts to assess and enhance health and preventive strategies, within the framework of joint Gulf health initiatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting also reviewed key experiences in national strategies for controlling vector-borne diseases in both Kingdoms, mechanisms for coordination between relevant authorities, and the latest technologies for monitoring and control, including the use of biotechnology to limit disease spread.
