Manama: Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, chaired the fourth 2026 meeting of the National Taskforce for Combating Communicable Diseases. The Health Minister emphasised the importance of continuing to enhance and coordinate national efforts to monitor and control communicable diseases. She highlighted the team's role in reviewing and developing preventive and precautionary plans and updating health programmes and policies in line with developments and to support the Kingdom of Bahrain's health security system.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting also discussed means to advance joint health efforts and follow up on the implementation of approved recommendations and strategies. It also reviewed updates to national plans to improve testing and disease surveillance and develop proactive response measures to limit the spread of communicable diseases and protect the health and safety of the community.
