Manama: The Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs has announced the opening of registration for individuals wishing to perform Hajj in the 1448 AH - 2027 season. The registration period runs from 3pm on September 27 until midnight on October 3 and is accessible through the Hajj e-platform, haj.gov.bh, using the upgraded eKey 2.0.
According to Bahrain News Agency, applicants are allowed to include up to four companions in each application. It is imperative that all details are completed and checked for accuracy. Identity verification procedures must be completed, and both applicants and their companions must be free of illnesses that could prevent them from performing Hajj, as specified in the list approved by the relevant health authorities.
The Supreme Committee has advised applicants to update their information in the national government notifications system to ensure they receive all alerts and notifications related to Hajj procedures. Valid identity cards are a must for all applicants.
Once registration closes, applicants who meet the requirements will be notified of their preliminary acceptance based on priority criteria. The date for selecting Hajj Tour Operators will be announced later. To confirm provisionally accepted applications, each applicant must pay BD500, which will be applied towards the total cost of the Hajj package.
The committee has also stated that Hajj Tour Operators will be given adequate time to announce their packages and prices. Operators are currently not permitted to advertise their services until they receive official approval for the Hajj trips they have applied to operate.
