George Russell Leads Practice at Singapore Grand Prix

Jakarta:Mercedes driver George Russell secured the fastest time during the only practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix in the Formula One World Championship. Despite a penalty that will place him at the back of the grid for Sunday's race, Russell's performance was impressive.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Russell completed the session with a time of 1 minute 32.274 seconds at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. He was approximately two-tenths of a second ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc. McLaren's Lando Norris, who is also a world champion, finished in third place.

Kimi Antonelli, the current World Championship leader, finished seventh in the session. He was behind former team-mate Lewis Hamilton, now with Ferrari, McLaren's Oscar Piastri, and Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who achieved his fastest time on medium tyres.
