Manama: The GCC Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) successfully passed the annual audit of seven international management system standards, maintaining its international certifications.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the audit covered quality management, occupational health and safety, information security, business continuity, asset management, risk management, and IT service management, which are integral components of GCCIA's integrated management system.
GCCIA stated that the successful audit signifies its institutional and operational readiness for the upcoming phase. This phase includes the expansion of electricity interconnection projects, advancements in energy markets, and an increased focus on modern technologies and renewable energy sources.
The authority emphasized that these efforts are crucial in supporting energy security, sustainability, and electrical integration among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
