GCC Sec Gen Condemns Treacherous Iranian Attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan

Manama: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), strongly condemned the treacherous Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the strikes on infrastructure and vital facilities that injured a number of Kuwaiti armed forces personnel. According to Bahrain News Agency, Albudaiwi said Iran's actions marked an unprecedented escalation and reflected a deliberate disregard for international law and norms, warning that they demonstrated an unacceptable willingness to drag the region into further tension and instability.

He added that targeting infrastructure and vital facilities threatened not only the countries concerned but also the security of the region as a whole. He called on the international community to take effective deterrent measures to stop the repeated Iranian attacks, hold those responsible accountable, safeguard regional peace and security, and prevent any further escalation.

Albudaiwi affirmed the GCC's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, backing all measures they take to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He also wished the injured Kuwaiti armed forces personnel a swift recovery.
