GCC Labour Ministers Convene for 12th Meeting in Bahrain

Manama:Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs, presided over the 12th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministers of Labour, held in Bahrain as part of its role in the 46th session presidency of the GCC.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Khalid Ali Salim Al Sunaidi, Assistant Secretary General for Economic and Development Affairs at the GCC General Secretariat, participated in the meeting.

Minister Khalaf reaffirmed Bahrain's dedication to fostering GCC cooperation under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The focus was on supporting joint GCC initiatives across multiple sectors.

The minister stressed the necessity of unifying efforts and coordinating policies to develop labour markets, empowering national talent, and creating more flexible and sustainable working environments adaptable to rapid changes.

Minister Khalaf also highlighted the importance of building on the achievements in GCC labour markets and supporting initiatives aimed at achieving shared goals for greater integration. This would be guided by a unified vision that leverages national capabilities while promoting social stability and security.
