Manama:Shaikh Duaij bin Salman bin Duaij Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service Bureau, presided over the 22nd meeting of the Committee of GCC Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Authorities as part of Bahrain's leadership during the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Supreme Council.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Duaij emphasized the significance of bolstering joint Gulf efforts, enhancing cooperation, and integration among GCC states to advance government performance. He underscored the necessity of equipping national competencies with future-ready tools to build more efficient government institutions.
The meeting highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise and successful practices among member states to support innovation and improve government service quality. The attendees discussed the adoption of the GCC Civil Service and Human Resources Development Strategy for 2026-2030, aimed at enhancing Gulf integration in human capital development and supporting digital transformation.
The strategy includes developing policies and systems capable of addressing future challenges, presenting joint training initiatives, and establishing mechanisms to monitor the strategy's implementation and impact on institutional performance. Shaikh Duaij praised the GCC Secretariat-General and working teams for their role in supporting Gulf cooperation and acknowledged Saudi Arabia's offer to host the next committee meeting.
